Pretty Nina is the hero of her own game .

The Kometa, a powerful secret organization having a terrible weapon, the Salacia. The Kometa chiefs met on a luxirious boat, waiting for an underground martial arts tournament. Feared to be the new terrorist threat, Nina is send on the boat for collecting data, but she's discovred as a spy after winning the tournament. Nina learns that her colleagues failed. Consequently, she must finish the mission alone, with the help of mysterious Alan Smithee.

Death by Degrees had a mitigated success. The fans of Nina will appreciate it, Nina is beautiful, the CG are numerous, and the mystery about the competition between Anna and Nina is cleared. Among the strong points, the graphics are good but no exceptionnal and the voices are convincing. Unfortunaly, the weakness are numerous : a story not very realistic where the secondary characters would have deserved more attention, Nina is hard to move during a fight against many opponents, combos, too complex, are forsaken for basics moves, the AI of ennemies is too weak. A fan of Nina will like it, the others will give up.
